what to expect

Let’s be honest: visiting a church can be an intimidating experience! Here are a few things about Revolution that might help you gain a better sense of who we are and how we imagine what a church can be.

First, Revolution is a mobile church. This means we do not have a permanent building, and instead, we set up and break down all of the equipment we use for our church environments each and every Sunday. A large group of dedicated volunteers work hard each week to make this happen, transforming our traditional school setting into a comfortable place for teaching, worship, and questions. We currently meet at Germantown Elementary School at 200 Windell Avenue in Annapolis every Sunday at 9:30 and 11:00 am.

Second, Revolution is a church where people matter. We have a team of volunteers each week who want to help you find where you’re going and answer as many of your questions as they can. You can always find these volunteers at the WELCOME + INFO table, and they would love to talk with you.

Third, Revolution is an engaging church. We want our services to be events that people understand and enjoy, and we always want everything we are doing to make sense to you, especially if you are a person who might not be very familiar with “churchy” things. We have two services on Sunday--one at 9:30 a.m. and one at 11:00 a.m.--and both feature the same teaching, songs, and content. We begin each hour-long service with announcements and a time of teaching, and then we spend the second half of our time responding together in worship by observing “communion” and singing songs. In terms of dress code, we keep things pretty casual.
