Catch Up With the LAST Series:
ACT // IT’S #GIVINGTUESDAY!
As we move into the holiday season, please consider joining others around the nation and around the world in donating to a charitable organization. The #GIVINGTUESDAY initiative hopes to raise more than 200 million dollars today for charities, churches, and non-profits around the world. If you would like to contribute to that goal by giving to the ministry of Revolution Annapolis, you can do that by following the link on our Facebook page today, or by going directly to www.revolutionannapolis.com/giving. Thank you for your generosity, both here at our church and elsewhere!
CONNECT // GOING AWAY PARTY FOR THE BURNETTS
On December 9, everyone is invited to say thank you and goodbye to the Burnett family at a gathering at Mike and Sue Burnett’s house (715 Dogwood Lane) following Sunday services from 1:00-5:00 pm. This will be a great time for our church family to come together to wish the Burnetts well as they take this exciting next step in their lives towards Flourish! Please plan to drop in for awhile, and to share notes of thanks and encouragement for them. If you are coming and are able, bringing a snack or dessert to share would be lovely!
ACT // CITY OF PEACE INITIATIVE
This holiday season, several churches in our city, including Revolution!, are partnering together to make a difference. The City of Peace initiative invites members of multiple congregations, as well as others in our community, to share service opportunities, sign up to volunteer, and give back to our neighbors this Christmas. To learn more, check out www.cityofpeace.info today!
CONNECT // REVOLUTION MOMS GROUP
Our MOMS group at Revolution meets every second Wednesday of the month. The next meeting is on December 12th from 9:30 until 11 at the home of Cathy Miller (500 Wilson Road, Annapolis, MD 21401). The group will be discussing Jen Hatmaker’s podcast For the Love episode Dec. 11, 2017 so listen ahead of time! Bring a brunch item to share; childcare provided.
ACT // SUPPLYING A LOCAL FOOD PANTRY
A local food pantry has opened in the Harbor House community, and they have a need for paper grocery bags! Bags are often available for donation at local grocery stores, which is where you come in: the next time you go to the store, please take a moment to ask Customer Service if they have bags they would be willing to donate. You can drop off the bags on Sunday mornings at the Welcome + Info table, or you can give them directly to Edward Giard, who will be acting as our point person with this project. Lastly, this is an ongoing need, so even if you can’t help this week, there will be more opportunities to give as we move forward with this exciting and important initiative!
EXPLORE // LEARN MORE ABOUT FLOURISH
The "Flourish" project aspires to connect people here and around the country with serving opportunities in their local communities. If you are interested in this project and would like to learn more, or even help out, please let Josh know by sending him a quick email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
ACT // ONLINE GIVING
If you would like to give to this and other ministries in Annapolis, please consider setting up re-occurring giving through our safe, secure web portal here.
